He's playing well in the Championship. I wonder whether he'll be able to do it for us next season.

There seems to be a Villa "failure button" that each of our home grown players is required to press, during their time involved with us.

Kiddy is a smashing little ground with the best pies ever. He'll play every week and it will do him good to be away from the doom and gloom at BMH.

Calder has gone to Doncaster: http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/doncaster-rovers/doncaster-rovers-aston-villa-s-riccardo-calder-arrives-on-loan-1-7770472

Never knew he was a holding midfielder! Always thought he was a winger/striker? Not really a player I know a great deal about though...

Calder is a very strong and well built lad. The size of his legs gives you a clue as to what he's good at.

I know it's HITC clickbait but good to see Gardner getting rave reviews: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/01/forest-fans-react-on-twitter-to-gary-gardner-performance-against/

Also heard that Siegrist had a stormer yesterday on his debut for Wycombe.

Gardner can thrive next season for Villa. No Premier pressure so if he stays fit then he can have no excuses if he doesn't succeed.

I'm yet to see him justify the hype in our colours but I agree. Next season is a big chance for him. I hope he takes it.

I fully admit that my desire to see him succeed, is based upon nothing more than some electric reserve team performances that I watched him put in years back now.

As usual our management have shown no interest in Siegrist. He's been with us for seven years and when he joined he was a highly rated youth international who was already 6ft 4ins tall. He's spent a lot of this season at Solihull Moors playing non league football .... that's how highly Villa rate him now.
