I'd say the fact that himself & sterling think it's hilarious that their being called snakes says everything about them as people.
Good footballers but like a lot of players these days their egos are out of control. They've left school with little intelligence & never been told "no" by anyone.

I agree Delph is a good player and for that reason it will be sad if he ends up kicking his heels on City's bench. They've just signed De Brunye which might further limit his chances. Not happy at all with the way he left, though. You don't say something then do the opposite a week later, regardless of your thought process. I agree with gdav that a lot of footballers lack emotional maturity. From Delph's very public flip-flopping to Adebayor and the sign from god some of them just act like children. Much as I still rate Delph and as much as their departures were highly acrimonious I'll have a lot more respect for people like Barry, Downing and Young as people. They made us no promises. Unlike Delph in January and the week before he left. Even if he had left the first time I'd still not be as unhappy with him. My anger at that point was directed at the club and it's officials for a much-ballyhooed contract that turned out to be worth barely more than the paper it was written on due to a somewhat modest release clause. Anyway, Delph is in the past now. People make choices (some even quickly and without going back on their word) and Delph's made his. We should look to the future and look forward to going through the same things again with Amavi and Traore...

In other news, Wales are struggling to break down Israel. Should have had a penalty a while back though...

I see Benteke got a right b*llocking from Marc Wilmots for not putting in any effort last night. He subbed him at half time. That was always a baffling side of CB's game, the way he could be brilliant one match and then totally switched off on walkabout for the next.

Don't get me wrong, he was great for us and we haven't replaced him, but the money from both his and Delph's sale has enabled us to do some quality rebuilding.

Delph injured seconds into the game tonight. Shame for him.

Did anyone watch France V Brazil U23's? If you didn't here's something you missed.

Always good to see a full-back getting into those kind of positions. Amavi is looking class so far.

Everton 1-0 up on Chelsea already. Stevie Naismith with the goal.

Looks like Chelsea's difficult start is continuing?

3-1 Everton. Does Mourinho not rate Cahill?

My fantasy league team is having a shocker so far, and I'm already 19th out of 20 in my league. So don't take any notice of my opinions at the moment .... they're worthless!

I was so bad at fantasy football I've given it up. I worked out that my problem was my decision to always include a couple of Villa players!

It's odd. Terry has been poor all season but he's still playing alongside Zouma. Their defence has been a big part of why they've started so slowly so you'd think that's where changes would be made. Can't help but think Terry keeps his place as he's the kind of powerful ally at Chelsea that Mourinho needs. Funny thing is, if they had got Stones as they wanted they'd have less of a problem there and in him and Zouma would have two young centre halves who could have been their pairing for the next ten years.

In other news, Beraihno's vow never to play for the chairman again has lasted all of 10 days. Pulis has just put him on.

I thought Man U were daft to sign that guy for the money they paid but if he has a goal like that in him regularly he's worth every penny.
