No Adomah or Grealish, so Bruce has picked a very defensive set up. Tuanzebe starts alongside Jedinak, Bjornason, Hourihane and Snodgrass.

Isolating a striker and sitting deep does not work for Villa against pacy pressing teams. We need to push Fulham back and make then too busy keeping us out to think about dominating the space between the half way line and our box.
Sadly I think we will concede easy space to them, and Fulham will love that.

I really hope I'm wrong.

29% possession in the last hour. As I feared we just conceded after shutting up shop and inviting Fulham on. We have to have a go if we want anything out of the game.

2-0 Fulham .... goalkeeper goes missing as a 35 yarder finds the net! Fulham running riot according to Charlie Nicholas.

If you set up for a 0-0 against an attacking team you're going to get your arse handed to you.

Fear of losing is a killer!

Bruce appears to be incapable of learning. To repeat the same basic error every time we play a decent pacy team is not acceptable.

If we meet Fulham in the play offs we've wasted a whole season!

Not surprised, we were playing a team who are better than anything else we've faced during our run and were without two of our best players. The difference Grealish makes to how we play has been obvious since he came back and Adomah's goals were crucial earlier in the season.

I suppose we can be critical for the lack of squad depth in attacking midfield and out wide but we had Green out as well and really do you expect three players from the same area to all be crocked for the same game?

I'm fed up with the fact that Mr Negative has the ability to throw a "fear" bomb into the equation every time his buttocks start clenching. For God sake man we're better than Preston .... go out and give them a mauling!

Callum O'Hare totally ran the game against the Wolves U23's last night. Our 6-1 win was orchestrated by this midfield dynamo, everything went through him. If Grealish isn't fit then play Callum and not yet another defensive midfielder.

We were lucky to get a really soft penalty from a poor referee. A point against a team we should be beating if we want promotion.

We play Sheffield Wednesday in just over an hours time. Will we get back on winning track? If so how?

My cat had his balls chopped off this week, but he's still feistier than Steve Bruce.

Let's press SW, let's get in their faces .... DON'T STAND OFF! Giving teams like SW space and time on the ball is a big mistake. They are used to being pressured and rattled by determined opposition, so conceding midfield space to them would give them a big lift.

'Who Dares Wins' Steve!

It's almost half time and Villa haven't committed one foul yet .... Sheff Wed have committed eight! What does that say about a Villa team who are currently being dominated by a bunch of second team standard players?

1-1
