Game Categories this season.

Post by Chris Harte on Sun Aug 23, 2015 3:43 pm

Something has got me thinking about the game categories for this season and whether having a season card is value for money.

Is it known how many games we have in Categories A, B & C?

Better still, do we know which games are in which category?

My full price season ticket was £510. If we took Category B games as the average over the season the cost for L3 - L6 would be £665 (19 games x £35), or an overall saving of £155. But, I don't know that this is the case. You also need to factor in games that you may miss over the season (last season I missed Arsenal, Palace and Sunderland; this season I will miss Albion and Stoke so far).

Any thoughts on this?

I think that the only real advantage of a season ticket at the moment is securing your favourite seat. That may well change as hopefully crowds increase, but last season there were so many cut price offers that it became as cheap if not cheaper to buy individual match tickets considering that you don't have to pay for matches you can't attend.
