Burton V Aston Villa TUES 26.09.17

Post by Jim Villan on Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:34 pm

The great thing about the championship is that the games come thick and fast!! All Villa fans will be hoping us to sweep Burton aside tomorrow night, however if you look at the home record this season 3 games, won 2 drawn 1, that's not too shabby so, they will put up a fight and it's up to Villa to use our extra quality to ensure were the first team to win at their place this season! We need to keep the momentum going so, I would expect the lads to be up for it, let's hope they can come away with 3 points!!!! UPV

Unless we play considerably better than in the last couple of games, a draw will be the best we'll get. As you say Jim, Burton are no mugs at home.

They've got one of the smallest budgets in the division, we've got one of the biggest. It If should be straightforward but it probably won't be.

Burton will be all over us in the first half, it's the way they play. The second half is where they're vunerable, so we need to be aware of that.
We shouldn't be worried about a local town team dominating the mighty Villa, but the way Clough will set them up and get them up for it, means that we need to be on our "A" game.

Great win tonight, we showed our class. We finally have a midfield that can score goals. Add to that a proper number nine with the emergence of Keinan Davis and a defence that makes few mistakes. Looking much better!!

More of the same against Notlob on Saturday I hope.

I can confirm our lucky charm will be in attendance hoping to continue his long unbeaten run.

We can count on you this weekend Sandie! Let's hope that Bruce doesn't regress. We need to keep scoring goals. Five shots on target, four goals. That's clinical finishing for a change.
