I'm excited too. Can't explain why as I'm not sure about whether we can have the season we need.

It must be the buzz of going to Villa Park for the first time in a few months.

I can't wait guys, I feel optimistic but in a very general vague way. How will we score the goals needed this season? Well a great start will be for the team to play as a team consistently. A lot is made of whether we have the players to create enough chances for the strikers and while it's important that we get the correct blend of creative players in the squad it's even more important that players work and fight for each other for 90 mins, which has been sadly lacking for the last six seasons. This is what I expect to change this year and if we get that right we undoubtedly will score more goals as we have some very decent attacking players.

Enjoy the match Sandie , Lets hope the Villa can get off to a flyer today!!

I have no doubt that we will keep it tight today, it's just getting that goal. Expecting Gabby up front on his own, would prefer to see Hogan or even the two of them.

I'm hoping for the opposite type of game, where we take it to Hull and start to put a dent in the 80 goals that we're going to need to get promoted this season.
I'm guessing your prediction will be nearer the mark. We'll know more by 7.30pm. Enjoy the occasion Sandie.

I'm at the ground and someone's playing the bagpipes. I've come 300 miles to get away from that kind of thing.

Not the team that I would have picked, but I'll be praying for the right result!

With the time and money at our disposal we should not still be relying on Bacuna, Hutton and Gabby to get the job done. Hourihane has to start if we're going to get anywhere near 80 goals.

Bacuna is one of the worst passers of a ball we've had in a long time. He's a good athlete, he's even decent on the ball sometimes but when it comes to finding another player in claret and blue...

Unfortunately Bruce is determined to prove that he's right and everyone else is wrong. Nothing has changed since last season.

We gifted a point to Hull by sitting on a 1-0 lead. As early as the thirtieth minute the cameras showed Bruce waving the midfield back which then created the space that allowed Hull back into the game. Before that the players were instinctively supporting each other and filling the space behind our front men which had Hull on the rack.

I'm giving up posing the question "when will we learn" because I don't believe we will while SB is in charge.
