Brilliant great to see these two combining if they can click together than we've got the best pairing in the division.

We did have the "best pairing in the division" on the pitch, but Hogan's gone off injured and Amavi has replaced him! Sad

Still 1-0. We're not keeping the ball and Norwich are coming at us, but they don't look to threatening at the moment. 32% possession at home isn't very entertaining.

Pinto off for a second yellow, so we're playing against ten men now. Ten minutes left.

Kodjia again .... 2-0 Villa.

We don't want the ball, but individuals pop up and score a goal or two.

Another two nil win while still not grasping how to pass a football.

Sandie does his "lucky charm" job again .... Many thanks!

Good win .... bad performance. I guess it'll have to do for now.

It was a good win again. I know I shouldn't be critical, but I dislike our "tactic" even though it's working! scratch

I don't think it was that poor a performance, in spite of our poor level of possession we got two goals, hit the crossbar and drew a wondersave from their keeper. Norwich had the vast majority of the ball but I only really recall them creating one worrying opportunity which was the one where Taylor slid in to clear. Everything else our back five dealt with,

There's still issues, some of our players really seem to struggle with the basics... pressing the opposition, reading teammates runs when we have the ball and so on.

Gold stars for Hutton, Chester, Adomah and, obviously, Kodjia.

Alan Irvine said that he was disappointed to lose on Saturday. He felt that they ran the game but he did admit that we were occasionally dangerous on the break.

I probably shouldn't expect us to dominate games even against average opposition. I do however expect us to do the basics properly, such as passing to another Villa player, and that is still not happening enough.
