I'm following the match on a radio commentary so I may be being unfair, but on the three or four occasions we've been put under serious pressure it sounds as though it's been due to sloppy play by either Hutton or Westwood. If we win it will be despite these two dodgy players.

Half time 2-1 Villa.

Sandie is at the game so he'll be able to tell us whether the above post is correct or not.

i think we are the stage where hopefully the game will open up in second half and maybe that we can add a couple more as were starting to look potent on the break.

Baker has been subbed and Elphick replaces him. It must be an injury, because he's a key part of our defence.

Villa seem challenged by having a one goal lead. We've sat back and been bossed by a very average side since half time. C'mon Villa let's see the size of your balls for the last fifteen minutes.

We ground out a win today against a poor team. There's still a lot of confidence building to do, but I'm very happy with the three points.

We've won this despite Westwood and Hutton being liabilities. Gabby is only a shade above those two and wouldn't be in my team. So we won despite 30% of our outfield players being very weak links.

We Scored 3 goals today which is important and goals and assists are coming from all over the pitch now which is another sign that we are functioning as a unit.

I'm still buzzing. This is what Villa winning does for the weekend. Keep it going Villa.

Grand Prix is up next!

Amavi, Chester, Jedinak, Grealish, Adomah and Kodjia are all looking good at the moment. Gestede and Ayew need to be regular impact subs when the opposition are tiring. Just a few weak links to sort out now and we're going to be firing on all cylinders, barring injuries and ACN tournament of course.

Channel 5 are just showing the highlights of our game and the goal that we conceded against Cardiff. It was gifted to them by the usual twelve year old body strength of Westwood with an added bad touch, and then by Hutton being out of position (again as usual) and far to slow to get back to even a couple of metres away from Lambert, leaving him all the space he needed to put the ball in the net. They are two players who will make promotion very difficult for us if they continue to feature.
