I'm going to say something contentious .... My first reaction was "Oh b*gger, my second reaction was "now Bruce has to change his tactics, it may be a blessing in disguise"! I'm not knocking Kodjia, but the way his presence has allowed Bruce to play is totally frustrating because we've become a one man team.

Having seen how Bruce tried to adapt during the AFCON I'm not holding my breath.

How can a manager reach the end of a season with stats like this. What on earth happens on the training pitch?

I can imagine repetitive cries echoing across BMH .... " get rid of it" .... "hoof the ball to Kodjia!"

The worst thing about those stats is that I'm not 100% convinced our way of playing even suits Kodjia. He just seems to score in spite of it. Just how potent could the guy be?

He's certainly put himself in the shop window this season. At least his injury will mean that clubs will not be chasing him this summer.

A couple of sites are saying that Hogan will be back for pre season training. It appears his injury was just a twisted ankle. Good news if correct.

It will be a big chance for him to shine.

From what I've seen of Hogan his movement will cause problems if we play to him on the ground. I have high hopes for him as long as Bruce changes to a more dominant style of football.

Also think Davies could be effective if we need a more physical presence.

I've been looking at stats for last season, and I was wondering why Adomah only started two thirds of our games. He scored three times and contributed ten assists, so why wasn't he a nailed on starter? Did he get in Hutton's way too much?

I actually thought Hutton and Adomah had a decent understanding as a pairing down our right, I think the problem we had was establishing which of our forwards were to be starters. Bearing in mind we had Kodjia, McCormack, Ayew and Gestede vying for starts up front and also Grealish to consider early on in the season.

My problem with Hutton was the huge amount of possession that he attracted and the scant return in assists.
