Looks like it will be done on Monday http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/10/aston-villa-takeover-by-dr-tony-xia-to-go-through-next-week/

I'm pretty certain the key people have been doing their preparations unofficially for weeks now and will be able to implement them ASAP.

Good news, here's to a new AVFC and hopefully that bright future we were promised in 2006

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dr-tony-xias-aston-villa-11455372?

The Mail has pinched the story from the Telegraph by the look of it, and just added the "completed by Wednesday" bit. We can finally begin a new Villa era .... let's hope it's a good one.

I notice Sandie and I both breathed a similar sigh of relief. We used the same word "finally'.

It very much feels like a 'finally' moment haha!! All within expected timeframes of those involved, but seems like forever from the outside. Let's get cracking now boys!!

The way the Telegraph have stated it, it seems that Dr. X has provided proof of funds beyond what was requested. A positive sign, surely?

The word "compelling" didn't have to be used, and the fact that it was gives us an indication of the size of the financial proof given by Dr Xia and Recon. The dictionary definition of compelling is worth reading.

The sale of AVFC to Tony Xia and RECON sports can now take place. I'm excited and relieved. Don't let us down Tony, we've had too many years of hurt.

I can say for the first time with absolutely 100% certainty .... "Welcome to Aston Villa Dr. Tony, may we share many good years together.

cheers

Wine! Wine! Wine! Yes, Get in. Great news finally we can look forward. Lots of work to be done in the summer ahead but very confident that Tony and his team will deliver.

I suppose I should say something about Lerner. Goodbye Randy, good luck for a healthy and happy future. I never hated you, I just thought you were totally out of your depth as the owner of our great club.

I wonder if we'll see or hear from him again? Doug has always maintained a presence since he sold up. Will Lerner? Maybe he'll attend more games than he did as owner...
