I think that the new board will have to be unveiled to the theme from 'Jaws'. There's a touch of menace forming around VP now .... Is that necessarily a bad thing? We've become used to being staffed by a bunch of poodles under the Lerner regime.

We have a new 'hat tip' emoji I was just about to type the same, but you beat me to it. I think we can 'expect' (I say cautiously) to see an official announcement this week. I see the director's been added as a sign things are moving forward. I originally guessed at the 8th June several weeks back, it may not be far off and as I said then 8 is considered a very lucky number in China, so If I were a betting man I'd keep an eye out Wednesday (but I'm not haha)

I really don't think it is (with a huge dollop of caution) As long as Xia is as smart as inferred and he is the actual sole investor, as opposed to the guys people are a bit anxious about, then I think having some heavyweights that will show their teeth and get the best for AVFC is a good thing. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic and prepared to give them time, as opposed the 'Twitterpol Kangaroo court' that's been going on the last few weeks.

We've had too many nice guys over the years. That said, Fox managed to mix odiousness with incompetence. I'll give the new guys a chance.

Do we think it's going to happen in the next 24 hours? If it is we may well get some clues later.

Yes. I think a few more days will see things confirmed. I do wonder what the 'Xia is a chancer who won't pass league tests' crowd will move on to then...

We need TX to appoint his CEO so that we can start buying and selling players. That should happen quickly now.

Won't Wyness be CEO?

It seems so, but we've had no actual confirmation that he will be CEO as well as a Recon Sport director.

Nothing about the sale today then. In fact rumours seem to be saying it will take another week. Oh well, we've been without a proper owner for the last few years, so we can manage without one for another week.

I guess it's not the work of a moment. I just hope a great deal of preparatory work has been undertaken unofficially so that there's a smooth transition when Xia's people takeover. Really, Wyness (if he is to be CEO) needs to be working with RDM already hearing his plans and preparing the ground work.

He should already be in working with Hollis, RDM, Clarke and even Reilly, just to get a feel for his job (if he is CEO). There's no reason why he can't be there unofficially. Budget, targets and shifting problem players should have been discussed in detail by now. Most Championship teams will report back for training in just under three weeks time, so there is a lot to be done.

Spot on. Our season must not be undermined because the FA are on a junket to Portugal.

The transfer window opens for English and French clubs today .... 9 June 2016. One more reason to get key personnel in place.
