SSN linking Kozak to Celtic
Surely he can take Gabby and racist then we can buy a first choice centre forward.

yeah just seen the Kozak link, shame to see him go, we never got to see the best of him due to that horrendous injury. but he will do well in the SPL.

Still think that Tim has 2/3 possible signings still to come! all depends on the outgoings I suppose.

This Adem link, do we really need another winger?
I read somewhere that Man Utd had made enquiries previously and were quoted €37mill. He is either overpriced, or brilliant.
Having said that with the arrival of Salah and Dzeko he is surplus to requirements.

Think they play him quite a bit in the No 10 role.

Perhaps he's made it clear he wants out and therefore they won't stand in his way? Just guessing. At the right price, he will organise our defence imo him and Austin/Adebayor and we will have some much needed EPL experience and quality.

I have read in the Evening Mail that the Tesco bags and Lescott are in dispute over unpaid wages and Lescott has asked the PFA to intervene.

This is the second time in a year contract issues have been raised with the tesco bags, Paul Jewell left for the same reasons. Makes us look even more professional........

As for Kozak. Is the link a loan deal or perm? Will be sad to see him go, however if it enables us to get a top class forward then so be it.

If we can afford to enquire about Ljajic then surely we can afford Austin who is the one player that we absolutely need.

PS: Wages? The curse of Randy Lerner!

At the end of the day, Tim doesn't seem to rate Kozak and it'll save on the wage. Hopefully, it will allow us to fund a move for Adebayor or A.N. Other.

This Adem is a good player by all accounts but all these attacking midfielders and wingers are well and good but they will be useless if we don't get another decent striker in. That should be the priority.

Randy has never finished the job. He's gone 80/90% of the way a couple of times but has never gone the extra mile.

Buying the players we have without a nailed on Premier League goalscorer, is a bit like going to a posh function in full evening dress and flip flops.

Same could be said of Ellis, imagine what could of been if we'd signed Juniniho (sp?) I recall seeing those pics of him at VP and being so excited. We have been 'also rans' ever since.

Still think we have a chance to really add to the work already done this summer and make us a really decent side. Fingers crossed Tims pushing for whatever he feels we need.

Every team should have an obvious answer to the question "who are your best players?" There have to be at least a couple of players who write their own names on the team sheet every match, because they are truly excellent at what they do. At least one of these players should be a goalscorer.

We may fall into the trap of not knowing who our best players are, because we refuse to pay the wages that 'stand out' players demand.

Not to sure haven't seen him play, apart from clips etc.
from what I gather he was highly thought of but hasn't kicked in, Utd wanted him last year but had work permit issues.

if the Ljajic rumours are true, then it appears that we are definitely following the Arsenal model of having a squad overloaded with talented attacking midfielders/no 10's, that should in theory create twice as many chances and therefore should lead to scoring more goals. Tottenham also seemed to have adopted this approach for a good few years now, as have Everton to a lesser degree and more recently Swansea. However the fact that we have done this within a single transfer window whilst getting rid of the spine of our team is massively risky. The approach in my opinion is the right one, but for me its short to mid term success, hinges on adding a quality experienced premier league defender and a quality experienced proven no 9.  If we don't do this then we might play some lovely stuff week in week out but get beaten by teams who are less talented  but more effective and better balance in their side. e.g Crystal Palace   Having said that if we could spend another 25 million and get Charlie Adam, ljajic and lescott then this season is going to be VERY EXCITING go get em Tim Tom and Henrick! Up the Villa
