Aston Villa V Chelsea: Saturday 2nd April at 12:45

Post by Sandie on Mon Mar 28, 2016 9:18 pm

So we're back to it again this weekend.

There's no gift to predicting whether we'll lose or not. It's guaranteed we will. With that in mind, for a more challenging question I'm asking for predictions who will be managing us for this.

Villa to win 3-1, Rudy Gestede rewarding new manager Ziggy Stardust's faith in him by bagging a hat-trick.

Another loss, but it wont hurt because we're so used to it by now. 2-0 to Chelsea.

Ziggy played Gestede, jamming good with Gueye and Gabby,
And the Jordans from France,
He played it left hand, but made it too far,
Became the special man,
And we are Ziggy's band

Nice one, that takes me back a bit.

It's only a relatively short while ago that Chelsea used to hate coming to Villa Park. We used to have the indian sign over them. Now I bet they can't wait to just turn up and bank their three points!

We really did have the Indian sign over them (and a decent record even at Stamford Bridge). We even got Mourinho his first sacking from there.

The availability of these two players will at least make selection a bit more interesting. With Black calling the shots, will we see any changes to the starting eleven?

That's an interesting question. The last time we had a caretaker KMac delighted no one by picking an even more negative selection than we had grown accustomed too under Sherwood. I think a caretaker won't see it as their role to change things around unless they've been told they're in-situ until the end of the season. One thing I won't expect is a more disciplined performance. Black is part of the old set up after all.

I'm sure Black will have had more than one conversation with Bernstein about how he's expected to run things. Does Bernstein want a message sent to anyone, whether it be players or press?

Let's see whether they're prepared to put a shift in for Black.

I've heard a few comments about how these players are 'fighting for their Aston Villa future'. They won't. And a few of them should have absolutely no chance for one.
