Swansea V Aston Villa: Saturday 19th March at 17:30

Post by Sandie on Wed Mar 16, 2016 11:20 pm

I suppose we should have a match thread.

Maybe we might get one of those rare 'wins' (at least that's what I think they're called)? I doubt it though...

What's a win?

It's on the box. Ordinarily I'd watch, but we've been that poor that I'm not sure I will.

We've gone from having hope in January where we were almost picking up points for fun, to now where we couldn't buy a win. In the (unlikely) event that we do win some idiotic pundit will be saying that the great escape is on.

I don't think Remi or the players expect to win any more, so we're just going through the motions. We're talking the talk without ever walking the walk. Swansea to win by two goals.

I wonder if Andre Green impressed enough in his cameo to get a start in this one?

That's not the way Remi's mind works. I bet he plays his usual cautious defensive set up, but he has no excuse for not giving Green at least the last 30 minutes.

There's a big gap between the standard of our first team and the rest of the English Premier League...

It would be nice to have a team full of enthusiasm. I'd settle for that at the moment.

Another day of turning up and going through the motions I would imagine.

Aye, will we last more than fifty minutes this time before cracking?

As predictable, nothing exciting for team news. Clark in for Okore and that's it. I'm predicting tripe come half five:

Subs: Okore, Bacuna, Sinclair, Agbonlahor, Sanchez, Green, Bunn

Does Remi have any ideas about changing our fortunes?

No. Nor does he seem to be thinking much about next season judged by the players still getting a game. We're wasting the last three months of the season.

With hindsight we've wasted the whole season.

At various points we've always had some kind of hope. The last few months that's gone.
