As I said on the other thread, I've started to think our plan is now to re-build in the championship.

It's the mute acceptance of the situation that's most frustrating.

It is. There are still fans out there who nurture a hope, however small, that we can pull ourselves out of our hole. They look at how many games we have left and say 'well other teams have made up bigger deficits in fewer games' so there's still hope. I think players, managers, whoever need to keep on believing until it's mathematically impossible.

We could tear Newcastle a new one if we attack them for 90 minutes, because they're still rocky despite two wins. We have pace, we have some power and we have some technical attackers. What have we got to lose?

We've got a run coming up where we might be able to score some points, if we can build momentum with the right kind of result later today then continue that into fixtures against West Ham, Norwich and Sunderland we might be in a situation that's that little bit less insurmountable.

There's nothing to lose and might just be something to gain here. COME ON!

I'm one of them. Despite everything we still have so many points to play for, that's the single biggest factor to still retain a little hope. We have to start winning though and no better time than today. Anything other than a win or draw will be unacceptable. A win sees a much needed 3 points and a huge confidence boost, a draw just about keeps Newcastle in touch (who are still rocky) a defeat and the farce goes on.

Remi is after 6 points from 12 I think we need 9 from 12 personally. That kind of shift and we have real momentum.

The next run of games are crucial, if we harbour any hope of staying up we will need to win 4 and draw 2 of our next 6. Even then we have to hope others struggle, Sunderland, Norwich and Swansea are favourite.

With Norwich winning and Bournemouth playing against ten men, it's getting harder to be positive. At least Sunderland are losing.

Sunderland are three nil down. Let's make it a bad weekend for Tyneside.

Correction Sunderland 3-1 down, but Norwich now 2-0 up. Edit: Norwich 2-1 up.

The inevitable has happened and Bournemouth has scored .... it's becoming a bad day and definitely 'must win' for us now!

Another team selection by a manager who seems more afraid of being thrashed, than risking everything for a win.

Disappointing!

Norwich and Bournemouth win, and we're setting up for a draw! Do the maths Remi!
