Can we loan the Bournemouth team to play this one for us?

Anyone know much about this guy: http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/premier-league/premier-league-aussie-young-gun-jordan-lyden-set-for-aston-villa-debut-against-arsenal/story-e6frf4a3-1227643481571

Holding midfielder so not really an area we are in dire need...

Kozak was in the U21 game this Lyden guy missed out on so I think we can (unsurprisingly) rule him out of any involvement.

He's a leader, he's got attitude and he's in your face for ninety minutes. He also scores and he could be a kick up the arse for other midfielders.

Yesterday's results should be pinned to the dressing room door. Anyone who doesn't bust a gut today for the shirt should be given a sweepers job .... in the stands!

Well what to make of this game? Heart always says a win, however I'm going to say a draw, we have to start avoiding defeats and turning draws in to victory's fast. 1-1 would feel like a victory especially if we did it from a losing position. Could we possibly pull off a shock win? We have to do it sometime don't we?

Interesting to see Lyden could be on the bench, a good talent and different to what we already have in the midfield bunch. I'd throw him in, Arsenal aren't overly physical and he has a great tackle in him to break up play. I suspect he'll be on the bench though, now ahead of Gardner (surely the luckiest guy going to get another three years in the summer?!)

Come on you lions. Time to deliver!!

I just wish that for once we set up with Wingers and gave it a go, I really don't see the point of playing Gestede if we don't play wingers. However football is a funny game and its about time Villa had a slice of luck, think were going to win today, I don't know how and it certainly defies logic, just one of those feelings..... I get them most match day's!!!! Very Happy

I have one of those feelings today too. Can't think why, as that selection has heavy defeat written all over it. That said, anything can happen!

Key will be the defensive shape and no individual errors (which we find impossibly difficult) keep it tight and nick something will be our only hope. Coverage have pretty much got us down for a thrashing and certain relegation, let's prove them wrong eh?!

Bright start from both teams.

Gestede's touch though...
